Hydrokinesis, also known as aquakinesis, is the ability to manipulate water. Users are typically able to generate, manipulate, and shape water and sometimes the other states of matter of water: vapor and ice. This ability is a variation of Elementalism.
Applications[]
- Bubble generation: Some users may be capable of generating and manipulating bubbles.
- Cryokinesis: Since ice is the solid form of water, some users may be capable of manipulating ice as well as water.
- Dehydration: Hydrokinetics can draw water out from an object or being, thus dehydrating said object or being.
- Hydrokinetic constructs: By shaping water into an object and solidifying it, water can become a solid construct.
- Hydrokinetic surfing: Users may be capable of using large masses of water to travel.
- Hydrolocomotion: Users may be capable of walking upon water.
- Viscokinesis: Some users may be able to manipulate the viscosity of water.
- Vortex generation: By moving water rapidly in a circular fashion, hydrokinetics may be able to create a vortex.
- Water healing: Some users can regenerate at a faster rate when submerged in water.
- Water mimcry: Users may have can transform into or have a physical made up of water.
Limitations[]
- May be unable to create water and be limited to manipulating already-existing source of water.
- Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon the knowledge, skill, and strength of the individual user and their power's natural limits.
- Controlling large masses of water over an extensive period of time may be exhausting.
- Vulnerable to electricity.
- Can be opposed by fire, magma, or ice.
- Oil is hydrophobic and, thus, repels water.
